One of the best places to watch fireworks on the 4th is on top of one of the downtown buildings.
While you're waiting for the "headline show" you can scan the Kentucky hills and see numerous other community fireworks shows simultaneously.
A couple years ago I was on top of Lytle Towers and it was fun to take it all in.
That would be a [img]cool.gif[/img] place to catch them from.
You can see pretty far into the hills from the concourse around the ballpark as well.
Speaking oif which, there's supposed to be a fireworks show after saturdays reds game. You should be able to see it from either side of the river after the game.
You do realize the air and noise pollution are bad for the environment.
Perhaps a leisurely gathering at home with family and friends, putting veggie patties on the grill and soy-fruit smoothies in the blender combined with good, old-fashioned parlor games would not only save gas, but would send a message to those who promote these fireworks shows that we want to depart from our nation's violent past and also promote air that is clean and noise free.
